Heating on, cold wind outside with the sun bursting through all has an impact on our skin. Planning trips to hot countries for the celebration season or skiing will also take it's toll.

What are my reasons for having the 2 choices?

 

Firstly , Profhilo.

Profhilo is an injectable treatment for skin laxity that uses Hyaluronic Acid (HA). It is a bio re

modelling treatment that can be used on the face, neck, decolletage, and hands. It can also be used to improve the appearance of scars.

​Profhilo is different from other injectables because it is made of a lower molecular weight hyaluronic acid. This means that it can be injected into the skin without causing damage or pain. The lower molecular weight also allows it to be absorbed by the skin more easily, which leads to better results.

​

Profhilo treatments last for approximately 6 months, and two treatments are recommended 4-6 weeks apart, though this will vary from person to person.

​

Profhilo contains one of the highest concentrations of stabilised Hyalauronic Acid (HA) on the market. Because it is thermally bonded and not chemically bonded as a hydrator and not a filler. It is injected just underneath the surface of the skin in 5 places to the left and right of the face where it disperses quickly and reacts with your own tissue to instantly boost hydration. It works by stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin in the skin. This increase makes the skin more elastic and firmer helping to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. In addition to its firming and ant-ageing effects, Profhilo also helps to hydrate the skin's ability to retain moisture.

Due to its gel like consistency Profhilo distributes smoothly and evenly without the formation of any lumps.

 Teoxane - Redensity 1 

 

Redensity 1 targets different issue areas that include; dry skin, dullness, fine lines and the loss of radiance in the skin.

Whereas, Profhilo targets loss of elasticity, sagging skin and deep hydration. The latter is what both Redensity 1 and Profhilo both share in common due to the HA component.

Redensity 1 (Teoxane skin booster) has a unique formulation of a punchy cocktail of amino acids, HA, Anti oxidants, minerals and vitamins B6. This combination has been designed specifically to nourish and protect the skin, whilst providing hydration for dull, gloom looking skin.

This is an ideal treatment for those of us looking for comprehensive skin hydration, nourishment, and protection against the environment.

This process involves lots of little micro- injections across the treatment areas which will leave small blobs for approximately 48 hours. Redensity 1 covers the face, neck, decollete, and hands, all targeted areas which require hydration.

The treatment process is 3 sessions spaced 3 weeks apart from each other. The completion time is approximately 30 minutes per session. Once you have completed this full treatment, a follow-up is recommended every 3-4 months to sustain the results. Beautiful, hydrated, even toned skin.

A recent article that was published by the BCAM advised that there were 3,000 complications last year; two thirds of which had been caused by the beauty industry. Hydropeptide- Topical

We are much better at this in the Summer months than the wintertime but it really is just as important to drink your 2-3L a day, unless, of course you have a medical condition which restricts your fluid intake. Why? central heating, colder weather has an impact on our skin with the UV rays still coming through and that is why it is also imperative to apply your SPF daily.

Diet​​

Nutrition is a very important part of our skin care as well as our mental and overall health. Limiting sugar drinks, alcohol and processed food will help reduce inflammation to the skin as well as Acne and Rosacea. Think about adding a Neutraceutical drink. BSC recommends Skinaid as has 7000mg collagen-peptide as well as vitamin C, B complexes, organic flax seed, methylsulfonylethane (MSN for short)!
